STAR workshops bring together selected representatives of a project (e.g. the client, project team members, suppliers, resource providers. sponsors etc) in order to review the project and put in place the vital task and team requirements for a successful project outcome. They provide a forum for the team to review current issues and then apply selected tools and techniques to resolve them. 

The structure for a workshop is tailored to the project in question and the stage it has reached. A typical workshop has three key stages. The review stage evaluates the current status using the PRISM Test® to assess the six critical management components which most impact on eventual project performance and identify current key issues.

Based on the outcome of the PRISM Test® findings, project team members work through the issues requiring attention. Team discussions are facilitated with the aid of the STAR system® toolkit which provides a framework of tools and techniques, enabling the team to resolve each of the issues in a logical and systematic manner.

The final stage of the workshop involves the project team agreeing the actions to be taken after the workshop and how progress will be reviewed.
